Resource Planner

Introduction

The resource planner is a Gantt representation of personnel who have assigned project plan tasks from a project workspace.

The purpose of this is to get a quick overview of an employee's availability for other tasks within a given timeframe.

Resource Planner Overview

To enter the resource planner, click on the Resource Planner link from the quick access on the personnel module.

The default view loads with a start date from yesterday's date and 5 weeks forward. Any employee with a task assigned from the project plan will have the task duration rendered. If multiple tasks are assigned for the same period, text will be rendered on the line to inform about this.

Tool Menu

The resource planner uses the same component as the project plan, but with some limitations regarding registration and item editing.

The tools available mainly revolve around setting time intervals and filtering the view.

Forward/Backward Buttons

View 1 week (7 days) forward or backward in the current time interval.

Custom Date Range

Set a from-to date and define your own interval.

Autozoom

Set the interval to the lowest planned start date and highest planned end date to see a view of all projects in the current filter in the same time interval.

Week / Month / Quarter

Set the interval to 1 week, 1 month, or 1 quarter from the currently defined interval start date.

Search

Filter the selection while typing by entering the personnel name or task title.
