What is a timeline?
All workspaces exist in a timeline with important events.
We have used timelines to present important events to the user for each workspace. When connecting workspaces with relationships or other ties, the events will appear in the timeline. In addition, we have focused on allowing the user to link important events from the QCP to the workspace's timeline where the checklist is used to highlight events. The user is free to register manual events and email correspondence directly to the timeline within a workspace.
Notes
When you create a new note in the timeline, a simple form is provided to capture the event details.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Title for the note, this field will be highlighted in the workspace's timeline. |
| Log type | Choose between three log types: General, Meeting, and Phone Call note. |
| Description | Add an event description |
| Notify user(s) | Notify up to 5 employees about the event |
| Date | Define the date of the event. By default, the system will always set today’s date. |
Tasks
When you create a new task in the timeline, a simple form is designed to capture the event details. These details will be passed on to the workspace's configured Microsoft Planner plan. Prerequisite, Microsoft Planner must be enabled (by opening Planner from the navigation menu) in order to create new tasks. Note that tasks are not categorized in Microsoft Planner phases from this feature.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Title of the task, this field will be highlighted in the workspace's timeline. |

| Start date | Select a start date from the calendar. |
| Due date | Select a due date from the calendar. |

In Microsoft Planner, the task will appear with the same data that was entered in the timeline task. Note that the task is not placed in any phase and the date format is set to your M365 regional settings. DD.MM.YYYY or MM.DD.YYYY.
Email to the timeline feature is available as an add-on on top of our standard Business Online system.
