Why Business Processes?
The business process is a document that provides a detailed description of a business process designed to meet an identified business need. To be effective, business processes must be formally designed, structured, documented, and communicated. It is important to capture as many details as possible in the process description verbally, graphically, or by using both methods.
Where Do I Start?
Below we describe a simple guide to prepare for the implementation of your business processes in Business Online.
We provide you with some simple samples that can be used while creating process visual images. The images can be drawn in any visual tool that can export the result to Portable Network Graphics format (.png)
You are free to choose your desired visual application.
Tip: It is smart to start with simple processes and gradually build these out over time.
Objectives
- Get your business processes drawn, described, and identify relevant documents.
- Get all processes implemented in the business process function and available to all employees.
- Over time, super users should become familiar with this function and should be able to change and maintain the content.
Recommended Information Architecture
In addition to the two/three different levels, you can specify which relevant governing documents apply to each business process and a description of each process.

Deployment
The BPM function is distributed and a standard template is configured by Business Online. To find BPM, navigate to the QHSE module and menu bar. Should BPM not be made available in the menu, you can ask your contact person at Business Online to do this.
The standard template is intended to be modified and built out for your company's needs.
Configuration and Maintenance
Our goal is that system administrators can manage their own instances of BPM. However, Business Online can upon request assist with configuring and maintaining the instance after the implementation period according to standard service prices.
During the implementation of Business Online, you will receive templates for setting up BPM and a step-by-step procedure for how Power App Canvas can be configured and maintained. Part 3 of the document describes the configuration of visual elements, descriptions, and relevant governing documents.
