🚫
The title has a limit of 41 characters in the Lead field. It is designed this way because if the company's workspace has a Team, the Lead will get its own channel in this Team. The Teams channel has a character limit that the title must follow.
All Items (View)
The different views are available at the top right corner of the Lead list (see image below).
Read more about list views in the Microsoft documentation.
Mouse Pointer Menus
By hovering the mouse pointer over the list item, you get different options, the ones usually used are:
Lead Description
Clicking on the text opens a view of the Lead's metadata. In the view form, you will be able to create a PDF file and edit the details by clicking Edit.
Ellipsis Menu
The most used options here are Edit (metadata) and Delete the Lead.
Other standard SharePoint options are also available.
Open Link in New Tab
Clicking the "open in new tab" icon will open a tab with the Lead's workspace.
(Located inside the corresponding company's workspace)
Lead Workspace
The design of a Lead's workspace is almost identical to a Project, but it will be placed inside the corresponding company's workspace. The company name will be displayed at the top left corner (in this example Stellar Vision)
Workspace Tools
The Lead's workspace consists of the following components:
Quick Menu
The quick menu will work as it does for projects, but since Lead is a connected component to a company, the Home button will navigate to the company's workspace. This also applies to Notebook, Planner, contracts, Leads, QHSE cases, documents, and approved documents.
QCP
A quality control plan is a business process in the form of a control plan. The purpose of a QCP is to guide the user to register and follow up on Leads in accordance with the company's procedures.
Timeline
The timeline is used to display and add notes, tasks, emails (an additional feature in Business Online), and relationships.
Info Card, External Contacts, and Internal Resources
The info card shows the general information about the Lead.
External contacts and internal resources can be added to the Lead's workspace by clicking Add or Create.
Documents
Documents (quick view) contain the files and folders used for the Lead. The documents can also be accessed by clicking documents in the quick menu on the left side of the workspace. In documents, you can use drag-and-drop features and other general file manager options as normally used in SharePoint.
Documents in this library can be sent for approval by using approval-in-workspace.
⚠️
For approved documents from Leads to be stored in the correct folder, it is important that they are sent for approval directly from the quick view for documents.
Approved Documents
This document library will contain all published documents that have been approved in approval-in-workspace from the Lead's document library.
