Introduction
In every document library in the system, there is an option called CD-Files (Controlled Document Files). This tool allows the import of all approved governing documents into any document library.
The documents in the Governing Documents library are often filled with a variety of useful workspace templates. These are often either generated from the folder structure, or can be copied to the library from working files in qcp-quality control plan.
If the required document is not made available from these functions, the CD-Files tool can be used to import a governing document to the selected folder in the current document library.
Functionality
The CD-Files tool opens a selection wizard, which is available in all document libraries, and imports the selected document(s) to the target destination.
ℹ️
If the document you are looking for is not available, or is missing an update, it may not be approved. Only approved governing documents will appear as options.
Availability
On the front page of a workspace, you can see a quick section of the document library and can navigate to CD-Files by clicking on the three dots.
From the navigation menu or "See all" on the front page of the workspace, you can navigate to the document library and then find the CD-Files option on the menu bar in the document library.
Selecting files for import
When CD-Files is clicked, a panel opens on the right side. This panel shows all approved governing documents that are eligible for import, grouped by department.
Confirm the selected file(s) by clicking Copy and proceed to select the destination.
Selecting destination
After clicking Copy, the folder selector appears. Select the target folder from the selector and click Copy again when the correct folder is selected.
After the confirmation is made, the files are imported to the selected folder after a short while.
ℹ️
Wait until the panel disappears before you start working with the documents.
