Business Online App is the official mobile app for the Business Online platform. The app brings the core features of the platform out into the field and onto employees' phones, making tasks, checklists, deviations, and governing documents available where the work is actually done — whether it's at a construction site, on customer premises, or while travelling.
The app is built as both an iOS and Android application. Sign-in, data, and permissions follow the same Microsoft 365 account you use in Business Online on the web, so switching between platforms is frictionless.
Main features
The app is built around four main parts that mirror the structure of Business Online. Each part can be used independently, but provides the most value when they work together with the full Business Online platform in your company.

Modular design
The app follows the same modular philosophy as the rest of Business Online. The features shown are governed by your permissions in Business Online and by how the system administrator has configured the tenant. This means the app adapts to your role — a field worker and an HR manager will see different features in their app, but both use the same app from the App Store or Google Play.
Home
The home screen in the app gathers the latest news from the official hubs in Business Online. News articles are tagged with their source (Home, CRM, Project, QHSE, HR) so you can quickly see which part of the company the news comes from. Tapping a story opens the full article via deep linking into Business Online.

Functions Overview
The Functions Overview is the tile-based dashboard you see when you tap the functions icon in the bottom menu. Here you find standard tiles for Oppgaver/Tasks, Arbeidsflyter/Workflows, Sjekklister/Checklist and KHMS rapportering/Reporting, as well as any custom tiles the administrator has added (for example shortcuts to governing documents, external links, or iframe-embedded Power BI reports). The standard tiles show numeric counters of open items so you get an immediate overview.

My Profile
My Profile is your personal self-service area, where you find contact information, employment details, your HR documents, certificates, and an overview of children and next of kin. From here you can also apply for vacation or register absence, and see the overview of approved, processed, and remaining days. Note that some of these features are add-ons to the Business Online platform and must be purchased separately. This applies to Certificates, Children, and Vacation & Absence functionality.

Governing Documents
In the Governing Documents tab you find all your company's published documents from QDMS — procedures, manuals, policies, checklists, and templates. You can search free text, filter by department/category, and download documents for offline reading.

Core operations
In addition to displaying content, the app is a working tool. These core processes are available from the Functions Overview:

| Reporting | Register deviations, observations, supplier deviations, customer feedback, and improvement suggestions — directly from the field. The forms are dynamic and tailored to each tenant. |
| Checklists | Fill out project-related checklists (safety rounds, quality controls, receiving inspections, etc.) with support for attachments, comments, N/A markings, and direct deviation registration. |
| Tasks | View and update project tasks, QHSE actions, and risk actions assigned to you. |
| Workflows | Process approval tasks from QDMS and project workspaces. |
Platforms and requirements
The app is available from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). See Access for installation requirements, sign-in, and managing multiple tenants.
The app synchronises with the same Microsoft 365 tenant as Business Online. Once a user has been provisioned in Business Online (with a personnel record and a role) they are automatically ready to sign in to the app.
